FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- I can no longer make it to MozCon this year. Do you refund tickets?
-
MozCon tickets are non-refundable/non-cancellable and not eligible to be used towards future MozCon events but may be transferred to another attendee. If you are unable to attend MozCon because you have Covid, are currently sick, have had recent close contact with someone who is sick, are quarantining/isolating or are unable to travel due to a change in travel restrictions and requirements, please contact us immediately to discuss refund options.
- Can I buy more than one Moz Customer discounted ticket when I only have one Moz Pro, STAT or Moz Local account?
-
Yes, you can absolutely buy more than one ticket at the Moz customer discounted rate if you have a current paid plan for Pro, STAT, Local or API. Bring the whole team!
- I'm currently taking a free trial of Moz Pro. Can I buy a MozCon ticket at the customer rate?
-
Unfortunately, no. You must already be a Moz Customer on a paid plan for Pro, STAT, Local or API in order to be eligible for the customer rate. We're unable to extend the customer discount to free trial customers at this time.
- Besides the conference, what does my MozCon ticket include?
-
Your ticket includes not only access to the conference, but breakfast, lunch, and two snacks all three days. You'll also get access to our evening events, some way cool swag and the MozCon 2022 videos after the conference wraps up. In addition, for every ticket sold, MozCon will be making a charitable donation.
- I'm a speaker and would like to pitch to MozCon. How can I do this?
-
MozCon is unlike other conferences in that we don't accept pitches for our speakers. Instead, we have a seasoned speaker committee who hand select our lineup using a robust selection process. We have high standards, and our small selection committee typically sees all presenters give talks at other conferences before inviting them to MozCon.
- I really want to attend MozCon, but I'm having a hard time convincing my boss. Can you help?
-
Yes, we can! MozCon is rich in value. We're big believers in conference ROI, whether it's giving you actionable tactics to apply to your daily work or creating key connections among our speakers, Community, and Mozzers. Unlike most conferences, our speakers go through a selection process and slide deck review to ensure high quality; you'll see the best of the best in both content and variety. Your ticket price also includes a recording of the MozCon speakers which you can share with your team.
- Do I need a Moz Pro subscription to take a Moz Certification if I purchase an Add-On Certification with my MozCon ticket?
-
No, you don't! You will learn important SEO concepts and theories that are independent of tools. However, if you’re not a Moz Pro customer, you will need a free Moz Community account (sign up here) to access the Moz Academy content!
- Will tickets be available to purchase on the day of the conference?
-
No, we do not allow walk-up ticket purchases. All tickets must be pre-purchased ahead of the event. The cutoff for ticket sales is June 30, 2022. If you miss the registration window, MozCon speaker videos will be available for purchase to non-attendees approximately 30-days post-event.
- Where can I learn more about the SEO Essentials and Technical SEO Certification before I purchase these Add-On options with my MozCon ticket?
-
General Information about the training content of each course can be found on these respective pages: SEO Essentials Certification page and Technical SEO Certification page.
- Is MozCon held in an accessible venue?
-
Yes, the WSCC is fully accessible, and our layout accommodates everyone.
- When does Early Bird pricing end for MozCon 2022?
-

- How long will the MozCon + Certification Bundles be available to purchase?
-
The bundles are a limited time offer, and won’t be available for long!

-
Not quite - just one more step!
If you already have a Moz Community or Moz Pro account, you’ll receive a registration confirmation email from Moz Academy within 2 business days of your purchase.
If you do not already have a Moz Community or Moz Pro account, you’ll receive an email prompting you to create one (you can do so here)! Once you’ve verified your new account, we’ll get you registered for the Certification, and you’ll receive a registration confirmation email.

Contributing to charitable organizations on behalf of attendees has been a long-standing tradition at MozCon and we're honoured to keep this tradition alive even as we go virtual. Mozzers picked their top two charities for 2022 and for every ticket sold this year, MozCon will be making a charitable donation to:
- Washington Trails Association https://www.wta.org/ - WTA mobilizes hikers and everyone who loves the outdoors to explore, steward and champion trails and public lands.
- North Cascades Institute https://ncascades.org/ - NCI's mission is to inspire environmental stewardship through transformative learning experiences in nature.
- Does MozCon have a code of conduct or other policy for attendee behavior?

We continue to monitor the global pandemic and recommendations from health officials and will contact all ticket holders should we need to change our plans.

-
MozCon sessions are recorded, edited and captioned by our team of professional A/V staff for viewing as part of your MozCon ticket. We ask that attendees do not record the sessions themselves.

-
We are fortunate to have our Moz staff of over 200 available as volunteers at MozCon and won't be requiring any additional assistance.
- I'm international and need to a visa in order to come to MozCon. Can you help with this?
-
Yes, we can write you a letter of recommendation for you to apply for a visa. Once you have completed your ticket purchase, please email mozcon@moz.com with your name, business address, and MozCon ticket order number to request a letter. Please also check with your local government office as sometimes there are wait periods in order to get visas. The MozCon team is unable to provide any country or traveller specific advice or information.
